Diabetes Awareness Day
Saturday, January 18th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Diabetes Awareness Day represents the Coalition’s premier screening event of the year which is hosted by the Palm Beach Outlets in collaboration with Palm Health Foundation.
In addition to free diabetes risk assessments, A1c tests, the community is invited to join the Coalition, its partners, and volunteers for a day of learning, while having fun. Activities include:
- Partner Organization Booths with Resources and Educational Materials;
- Tasty, Healthy, Edible Eats –featuring Chef Josef and the Breakers Palm Beach Team;
- Zumba Dancing with Digital Vibez;
- Face Painting; and
- Free Raffles for Gift Baskets and Certificates
During Diabetes Awareness Day 2019, with the help of our Keiser University and Nova Southeastern University students, over 200 free Diabetes Risk Assessment Screenings were provided, which again included free rapid A1c tests and other health biomarkers.
